The seventh graders participated in a three day project aimed at broadening their understanding of poverty and homelessness. After participating in activities that range from finding jobs and creating budgets, to deciding where to eat and sleep while on the streets, they face "eviction" from their lockers. The students gain a better appreciation of the circumstances that make some people homeless, as well as the problems that they might face on the streets.
