At 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 24, a Blessing of the Animals was held at St. Pius X School. All different kinds of critters were brought forward to be blessed. There were dogs, cats, kittens, guinea pigs, and other animals of all shapes and sizes. A reading was read by Fr. Steve and then he performed the blessing. This was followed by all of the people reciting the Prayer of St. Francis, because this celebration was held in honor of St. Francis whose feast day is October 4th.
