CAR LINES

Morning Car Line

• Car line starts at 7:40 a.m. Please do not allow your child out of the car until adult supervision is in the parking lot.
• Please stay in your car. Children will be assisted out of the vehicles.
• All students should be dropped off in the front of the car lines. Please follow the directions of the staff or volunteers.
• Please make sure to use your turn signal when entering or exiting the school lot.
• Please have all students exit from the passenger side of the car.
• Right turns ONLY between 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. when exiting the parking lot.
• Students are not to be dropped off in front of the school on 14 th Place .

Afternoon Car Line

• Afternoon car line begins at 3:00 p.m.
• All students are to be picked up WITHIN the west or south parking lots.
• Parents are not to park on East 14 th Place in front of the school, or on the street near the church or rectory to wait for children.
• Cars enter the parking lot from the west entrance near the church. As cars arrive, lines are formed to pick up students. The lots are divided by grade. Please park in the appropriate lot designation.
• Socialization by parents prior to dismissal is encouraged. At 2:50 p.m. we ask that everyone return to their cars.
• Children will be called and assisted into their cars by our traffic crew.
• With everyone's safety in mind, adults are not to walk into the lots from on-street parking to pick up children, nor are children to walk to cars parked on the street. Children will not be released from their classroom line until car line is completed and all cars have left the parking lots.
• It also needs to be understood that students will not be released early from class to those parents who prefer to avoid these safety procedures by picking up their children from the main office just before dismissal.
• With everyone's understanding that the safety of each student is of the utmost importance, dismissal pickup will run smoothly, safely, and respectfully.
• Failure of a parent to comply with the above procedures may result in a warning letter, a conference with school Administrators, and in some cases the family will be asked to withdraw their student(s) from St. Pius X School.
• During inclement weather, inside dismissal will begin at 2:50 p.m.
