On Wednesday, February 8th, The PreK and Primary students celebrated Chinese New Year with a Dragon Parade. All students made dragon or lion masks and paraded around the west parking lot. In China, cymbals and drums announce the approaching dragon. In our parade, a gong announced the approaching 150 lions and dragons. The dragon is a sign of good luck and the beginning of spring. During the week, all classes studied different customs of the Chinese New Year.
