Eshelman As a part of our science lesson on the eyeball Ms. Pae and Mr. Batt's 4th grade classes had an opportunity to see an eyeball up close and personal. The students spent the week studying about the parts of the eyeball and the functions. On Thursday, January 26, 2006 the students had an opportunity to see an actual eyeball. Ms. Pae dissected a cow's eyeball for the students. The students were able to see parts of the eyeball like the lens, cornea, etc. It was a great opportunity to enhance what they students had seen and read about on paper. We will finish our study of the sensory organs and start on our study of the brain. The students will have an opportunity to observe the dissection of a sheep's brain at the end of this unit. |
