Population Explosion at St. Pius X School

What would it be like to be totally responsible for the care of a baby? The eighth graders had a taste of life with a newborn this past week when they nurtured "flour sack" babies through the traumatic first few days of life. The reactions to the experience ranged from, "It went quite well," to "It was way harder than I expected." Seven a.m. may be an unwelcome rising time on most mornings, but getting up at 2:00 a.m. to feed and change a "baby," made 7:00 a.m. look pretty good.

The babies were gladly given up for "adoption." The Mullen Home kindly agreed to take all of them.
