Pigs On Parade |
|||
|
1st Quarter, middle students in the Beginning Art class completed a project entitled PIGS ON PARADE. The project was borrowed from large city animal projects- cows along Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, for example. Each student created a pig using the same papier-mâché technique. They then chose a St. Pius staff sponsor who decided how their pig would be decorated. The students acted as commissioned artists and met with their sponsors to decide on a theme, submitted drawn designs, then executed the design as they had agreed upon. Some staff members chose themes that represented them personally; others chose themes which represented their position here at school. The pigs are currently on parade in the school library. |
